About This Place

Imperial Garden Beijing Duck Dim Sum Seafood, located at 18230 E Valley Hwy #116 in Kent, WA, is a delightful destination for lovers of authentic Chinese cuisine, specializing in dim sum, Peking duck, and fresh seafood. This vibrant restaurant brings an extensive menu that caters to a variety of tastes, blending traditional flavors with generous portions that satisfy both casual diners and those seeking a more refined experience.

The star of the menu, undoubtedly, is the Peking roast duck—crisply roasted to perfection with tender, juicy meat that melts in your mouth. Paired with delicate Pecking Duck Pancakes and a savory sauce, it offers a truly authentic taste that diners rave about. The dim sum selections, available even at dinner, feature popular items like Pork Shui Mai topped with fish eggs, Honey Walnut Prawns, and the comforting Taro Cake. Each bite bursts with subtle layers of flavor, balancing textures beautifully, whether you’re enjoying the delicate steamed varieties or the enticingly crispy offerings.

Seafood enthusiasts will appreciate dishes like Steamed Live Perch and Scallops with Asparagus, both prepared with fresh ingredients and skillful wok techniques that lock in the natural sweetness and flavor of the sea. For those who enjoy a little variety, the Seafood Crispy Noodle and Fried Crab are exceptional choices that pair wonderfully with the restaurant’s well-loved Hot and Sour Soup or the comforting Yangzhou Fried Rice.

The dining atmosphere at Imperial Garden is warm and inviting, perfect for family meals or intimate dinners. While service can be a little slow during peak times, the staff maintain a friendly demeanor that helps keep the ambiance relaxed and unhurried. Some guests have noticed the occasional inconvenience of late-night cigarette smoke, but many find the overall environment pleasant enough to focus on the meal’s richness and quality.

While some recent reviews suggest the food quality has seen slight fluctuations and highlight an “Okay” rating from King County food safety inspections, the general consensus leans toward a solid, authentic dining experience, especially for those craving classic Chinese dishes. Noteworthy appetizers such as the Two to Four Kinds of Appetizers Combination offer a great start to your meal, introducing a medley of flavors that prime the palate for the main courses.

Imperial Garden also delights with a variety of sizzling plates and hot pots, like the Sizzling Assorted Seafood in spicy chili sauce or the Hot Pot with mixed seafood and bean cakes, delivering warmth and a sensory punch that echoes the heartiness of Chinese home-style cooking. And don’t skip on the desserts—the Mango Pudding presents a sweet, refreshing finale to your feast.

Overall, Imperial Garden Beijing Duck Dim Sum Seafood stands out as a dependable spot where the intricate art of Chinese culinary tradition meets approachable and satisfying flavors. It’s a place that invites you to indulge in comforting dishes, with just the right touch of authenticity to make every meal memorable.

Dim sum was good. It was quite odd that the deep fried shrimp tasted a bit sour. I'm used to seeing ground meat in sticky rice dish but now they use pieces of meat instead. Also, it appears the food quality has gone down hill. Their King county food safety rating is "Okay". Majority of the items on the menu are priced at L $6.25. Service is slow as well. Would be nice if they would bring back the dim sum carts.

Pretty place for dimsum and dining, but if you stop by late close to the closing time these guys smoke inside the restaurant. So that’s the turn off for me. It got on my clothes and I inhale their cigarette smokes.

We ordered the Douglas crab with Bifengtang flavor, reasonable portions. The Peking roast duck is great. The pancake and sauce is authentic but the cantaloupes as vege paring is a bit off. Dim sum is available for dinner as well but overall is OK.

Delightful authentic Chinese cuisine. Best Peking roast duck I’ve ever had in the states. Decent Dim Sum, and very generous portion. The servers get busy when the crowd hits, but still reasonable services. Overall a solid eating experience.
